Have you ever told a friend or loved one, "I'll be praying for you," then wondered if it would really make a difference? Have you prayed about a personal problem but felt God wasn't listening, as if your prayers were bouncing off the ceiling?
God wants to have a deep, personal prayer life with you.
He does with every believer. Jesus modeled for us what a life like that can look like, yet few believers ever expect or even try to have a connection with God like that.
Sometimes we have a more intense prayer life during crises, but when that season passes life goes back to business as usual. Prayer can become little more than brief, one-way conversations, asking God for stuff that we are unable to do ourselves. We can lack faith for God to perform a miracle and find ourselves limiting our prayers to asking God to just "be with them" or "guide the doctor's hands.” Sooner or later we have to stop and ask ourselves, "How big is our God?"
Join us this February as we talk about all matters relating to prayer. We will dig into what Scripture tells us about God's intent for prayer, learn how to pray boldly, and discover how prayer can lead us into a relationship with God that is real, personal, and powerful.
Prayer matters. It changes things, and more importantly, it changes us.
