Blender Meals

Here's a newsflash... students like to eat.

During the months of August and September, we will be serving "hearty" snacks at the Blender on Sunday evenings.  We would love your help in providing a snack for our students and Blender leaders.  We will return to meals in October! For more information on snacks, and to sign up, click HERE.

"Hearty" snack ideas include: nachos, pizza bites, veggies & dip, fruit & yogurt, cheese & crackers, cereal/milk, popcorn, taquitos & salsa, mini corn dogs or build your own: small baked potatoes, french fries, yogurt parfaits, etc.  Other ideas are very welcome!  Snacks need to be PEANUT FREE and have a VEGETARIAN option.

If you have any questions, please contact Brian at brian@gracetucson.org.

Why do meals?

When you help provide a meal for the Blender, you are doing much more than just making food. You are giving us an opportunity to connect with students in the least threatening way possible. The Bible often used meal times as opportunities to show God's power (feeding the thousands in Matthew 15 ), as a metaphor for the Kingdom of God (Luke 14:15), and as one of the key things that the early church did (Acts 2:42). We believe that your help in providing meals for students helps them understand that the entire church believes in them and their spiritual development too.

How to get involved

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to help provide meals for the students and we get that it can seem like a daunting task to create a meal that will feed 40-50 people each week. Below you will see links to several Blender Meal suggestions. They are broken out by types of food and costs. They also make sure that all of the special dietary needs are met so that you don't even have to worry about that.

All you need to do is select one of the meal plans below and then sign-up by clicking here.

Just let us know what meal you are planning to make. You can make the meal by yourself, bring along a couple of friends, or get your whole small group involved. We love it when the people who prepare our food hang out with us while we eat. It gives us a great chance to thank you for your hard work.
