Lyn Nixon

Lyn and her husband Carver are the co-pastors of Adult Ministry at Grace. Lyn believes that the purpose of God's church is to introduce people to Jesus, to help them get to know him better, and to do his work in the world.

In this light, her two ministry passions are studying/teaching Scripture and connecting people to meaningful ministry. She loves to lead small groups through different books of the Bible, and she also finds it rewarding to help people find their God-given gifts and explore ways to use them.

She puts her gift of administration to work helping Grace with its member/visitor database, which facilitates communication, discipleship, fellowship and ministry.

Lyn is a graduate of Smith College, the London School of Economics, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and Bethel Seminary. She is currently pursuing a non-residential Research PhD through the London School of Theology. Her paper title is suitably complicated — we will just say that she is looking at the Psalms quotations in the New Testament from a new angle. Her goal is to never stop learning!
