John Reed

John has been in pastoral ministry for 43 years. He served as an Army Chaplain for twenty years, and later as a staff pastor in churches in California and Washington until his retirement in 2000.

John is Pastor at Large at Grace, providing counseling services for Grace members and friends as well as preaching occasionally and providing support for the Grace staff. He serves on the Pastoral Care Team of the Pacific Southwest Conference and is a popular guest preacher in area churches. He has also ministered as interim pastor in several churches.

John is a graduate of Occidental College, Fuller Theological Seminary, and holds graduate degrees in Family and Marriage Counseling.

John is married to Lil who has a vital ministry of discipleship, mentoring and encouragement. Lil also serves on the Board of Women Ministry of the Pacific Southwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church. John and Lil have been married for 46 years and have three sons and a daughter, and eleven grandchildren. Two of their sons are pastors in the Covenant Church. John and Lil moved to the Tucson area in 2002, and love the desert lifestyle.
