Carver Nixon

Carver came to faith in Jesus Christ in his late 50's. He is acutely aware that he "almost missed the boat." This adds to his passion for evangelism and discipleship.

With his wife Lyn, Carver is co-pastor of Adult Ministries at Grace. Particular interests include Small Groups, Adult Education and Sunday School.

In addition, Carver directs the Alpha Course, which offers opportunities for people interested in exploring the truth claims of the Christian faith. Carver is also a trained Alpha Advisor, available to assist other churches with the course.

Carver is a graduate of Stanford University, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and Bethel Seminary. His three children are all married. Ward lives in St. Louis, Jessica lives in Chicago, Meredith lives in Lake Ann, Michigan, where Lyn and Carver spend summers. So far, Ward and his wife have the only grandchildren — two girls and a boy.
